What is Telegram?

Telegram is a freeware, cross-platform, cloud-based instant messaging (IM) software and application service.

Reasons not to use Telegram

By default it does not enable end-to-end encryption for messages by default.

SMS messages used for login authorization can by hijacked.

Telegram still hasn't published their server-side source code.

In Conclusion

Use alternative to Telegram, I more prefer: Jami
